Welcome to the Wide-Mouthed Blog

which may be a bit of a misleading title. It's not meant to refer to the strength of my opinions but to one of my favourite kids' songs and stories. Before Wide-Mouthed Frog was a fantastic pop-up book by Keith Faulkner and Jonathan Lambert, it was a song my mother used to sing. This blog began as a place to gather the annotations, responses and records of my reading in children's and teen literature as I went through library school. But it accidentally just kept going as a record of cool things I came across and wanted to share. Here's to stories and beautiful books and jumping in with a SPLASH.
